Residential Care at Peabody House
Peabody House, founded in 1995, is the only assisted living facility from Maine to Massachusetts for people living with HIV/AIDS who require long-term care. The six-bed house is located in the historic West End of Portland. A team of social service and nursing care providers work together to provide 24-hour care to residents of varying levels of need. Peabody House provides room, board and assistance with activities of daily living. We often maintain a waiting list but encourage people to call because the list often fluctuates. Scheduled visits are available for anyone who is interested. The Peabody Center does not discriminate against any individual on the basis of age, race, gender, national origin, marital status, religious preference, political affiliatioin, sexual orientation, mental health status, substance abuse history, HIV status, or disability. |
