FPC Receives Generous Bequest from Estate of Wilhemina Phinney Frannie Peabody Center is proud to be the recipient of a generous bequest of $40,000 from the Estate of Wilhemina Phinney. During her lifetime, Mrs. Phinney's son Peter contracted HIV early in the history of the epidemic and later died of AIDS. Shortly before his death, Peter asked Wilhelmina to make the Frannie Peabody Center donation upon her own passing. In paying tribute to the memory of the younger Phinney's struggle with the disease, Mrs. Phinney's wish was to memorialize her son through their joint desire to assist others who struggle with HIV/AIDS. We are honored by the Phinney family's commitment to improving the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS in the state of Maine and would like to extend our deepest gratitude for their selfless generosity. If you or any of your own family members are interested in making memorial donations or bequests, please contact Ed Corley, Director of Development at ecorley@peabodycenter.org
